To meet the demand (and need) of alternative spaces for sport, leisure and entertainment, according to the quality of life of the population, the Town Hall, fitted the seat with a swimming pool complex, opened on February 26, 2000 by the Minister of State and Internal Affairs ( Fernando Gomes).
The equipment consists of an indoor pool (16.66 * 10 meters) for learning, outdoor pool (25 * 12 meters) with potential for swimming competitions, discovered children's pool (within 5 meters) and solarium, making a total area of approximately 3,250 square meters. The capacity of users stands at fifty-five to the indoor pools, and one hundred and fifty to the outdoor pools.
This important social and leisure infrastructure intended to serve the school population and the general population in the municipalities of Penaguião and Peso da Regua, in addition to being an attraction (bathing season) for those who looks for the County as a holiday destination or rest on weekends. A location that complete other attractions or offers with exponents in the built heritage (civil and religious) and in the unique diverse and beautiful landscape.
