In the parish of Lindoso, in the county of Ponte da Barca, the Moinhos trail (Mills trail) allows us to discover the small village of Parada. This footpath takes about four and a half hours allowing us to know the mills. Along seven kilometers we have the opportunity to cross a bridge, to dive into the clear waters of Poço da Gola pond and to enjoy the landscape. Animal life peeps at every corner. This place of the Peneda Gerês National Park serves as pasture for “garranos” (autochthonus horse), sheep and other animals. With a strong cultural and nature environment, this footpath shows us how our ancestors took advantage of natural resources in a very wise and friendly way. After running through this path, go to the village of Parada and enjoy a set of granite silos carefully preserved.
