The Maia Zoo has the best reptile house in Portugal. You will see the most feared reptiles in the world, such as snakes and
crocodiles, and others like the iguanas that remind us of the age of the dinosaurs. But don't be scared because there is always someone there to guarantee your safety.
If you enjoy mysterious places this spectacular exhibition is a must. In a fantastic environment you will find poisonous snakes, scorpions, tarantulas, night animals, piranhas and many other equally mysterious and dangerous creatures.
The Maia Zoo also offers you a wonderful show of tamed seals whose aim is mainly to teach about Nature conservation.
The show takes place from Monday to Friday at 11.00 a.m. and 3.00 and 4.30 p.m.; on Saturday, Sunday and holidays at 3.30 and 5.00 p.m. It lasts about 40 minutes.
