La Salette Park, is a park located east of IC2, which runs alongside the Oliveira de Azeméis center, in a hill which long ago used to be named "Outeiro do Castro or Calvário." La Salette Park is an "ex-libris" of the city, extending by 17 hectares of pleasant and green landscape, offering great viwes over the entire area. The Chapel dedicated to N. Senhora de La Salette, is implanted in the park. It is a temple in neomedieval style, dating from the early XX century. In the park there is a natural viewpoint overlooking the surrounding cities, mountains and valleys. On the first Sunday of August start the festivities in honor of N. Senhora de La Salette with the “Procissão das Velas” (Candles Procession), ending on the 2nd Sunday with the "Procissão do Triunfo” (Triumph Procession).
