"La Nuossa Lhéngua" - The Mirandês. It is an official language since the 29th of January 1999. The Portuguese State recognizes the right to preserve and promote the “Mirandês” as cultural heritage, instrument of communication and of reinforcement of the Miranda land identity.
Today, it is approximately taught to 400 young people in the municipality schools.
