Description

The construction of this House is believed to date to the 15th century, where according to conveyed tradition, Diogo Cão was born, the famous Navigator sent by King John II on discovery voyages to the West African Coast, and who arrived at the entrance of the Zaire River in the second half of the 15th century.
From his travelling experiences, Diogo Cão took the lessons that were of moreinterest, in order to reach South Africa, and navigate throughout the extension as Vasco da Gama did later.
