The "Alfândega" (Customs House) is from the XV century, and had a gateway in pointed arch, set back regarding to the present façade. A porch extended along the medieval façade. In the XVI century, its new gateway, in round arch, and inlaid with manueline motifs, went over the street. On the end of the XIX century, the windows were torn, among other works. In 2004, the building was restored and its long history was preserved. Custom-house, first, later was the Police Station, and today the House of Culture of Miranda.
