The museum centre of S. João do Campo, which was built from scratch, tackles the construction techniques used in building Roman roads and explores the means of transport used at time. As a central point on the route of the Via Nova through Terras de Bouro, this museum centre provides information on the Geira, along with historical interpretations. We highly recommend that all visitors should visit this museum before setting off on the Via Nova. We hope you enjou your visit to Geira museum and stroll along the Via Nova, or Geira, just as soldiers, merchants and travelers used to do, two thousand years ago. Have a great visit and safe journey! (Open every days except Mondays)
