This fortified settlement from the first millennium b.C. occupies an extensive area whose edges, on the south, fall steeply, over the Douro, providing a magnificient image of the river cannyon. Another passage of the fabulous geologic landscape, built by the Douro. It was effectively used as an invincible wall by the fortified settlement, being very vulnerable on the other side, forcing the wall to precede with a big field of real sharped fixed stones pointing upward and defending the village’s gate.
