The Fontenário and Lavadouro de Guidões is a granite structure consisting of a fountain and a public washing place dated from 1947 and restored by the parish in 2007. The fountain is framed between two tile panels, being one of them dedicated to St. John the Baptist, and the other one showing a landscape with a yoke of oxen and a farmer, from the author Antonio P. da Silva Anjo. The tile panels are limited by granite frames decorated with volutes.
Crossing the street, it is possible to observe the “souls in purgatory” in a tile panel standing in a private wall.
Location: Trofa
