Tourém is famous for its monumental oven. All built of stone, with walls reinforced by powerful buttresses and coverage in slums, it has capacity for 20 scones and is still used. In a niche of the doorway it has drawn on a stone the date of1868, although the type of architecture of this building allows to state that it was built at earlier date.
The front door was open between the corner and the building and the first counter, and has a yard line. Inside the oven there are three round arches supporting the roof. At the right side of the building and on the platform, itself, is the oven chamber, which has floor made of slabs and an vaulted ceiling.
Location: Montalegre
