The firefighters Museum, installed between 1984 and 1998 in the Marquês Sá da Bandeira Avenue Headquarters is now in new premises located in the D. Sancho I Street Headquarters.
The space has two rooms, one for the exhibition, and the other for audio/visual devices and educational services.
Apart from these areas, the museum also has a fixed mini-school of traffic, where visitors can be aware of certain rules of behaviour, according to the Portuguese Street Prevention.
The firefighter Museum collection shows the activity of the association, which consists of old cars, animal traction, manual and mechanical, intervention, gala and band uniforms including the Music Band Music of the fire brigade, numismatics, pennants, salvage, photos and documentation that describe the history of the corporation.
Parallel to the exhibition tours, the Museum and the active body involved in promoting its programming promote guided tours, to educate visitors about potential day-to-day dangers and the safety measures relating to natural phenomena, among others.
Location: Vila do Conde
