The winner of a flowered city award, Mirandela is recognized as the Garden City due to the beauty of its gardens and its bridges in harmony with the river Tua. Every year in the month of May it is celebrated here the charm of the gardens with a parade through the city with more than 100 florid carts pushed by children.
