Festival Internacional de Jardins

Ponte de Lima
Description
Ponte de Lima has won the most flowery town in Portugal prize several times because of its magnificent gardens. Between the Roman bridge and the Nossa Senhora da Guia bridge, stroll through the labyrinth of the International Gardens Festival and let your imagination flow. Who knows, maybe curiosity will lead you to create your own garden … Admire the creativity, boldness and beauty of these spaces full of colour and life. Creating the 12 gardens for the Festival involves long months of work. An effort that culminates in an exhibition open to the public, from the end of May to the end of October. The Festival organisation is careful to use building materials from previous festivals, thus avoiding waste and contributing to a fully ecological event. Encouraging greater involvement and sensitivity for the creation of green spaces is, in fact, one of the goals of the event. At the end of your visit, you will be able to choose, by secret ballot, your favourite gardens. Now you have a reason to visit Ponte de Lima, the Portuguese gardens capital!
