The International Festival of ComicTheatre takes place in the city of Maia. The Festival brings a daily street entertainment as well as performances at the Grand Auditorium and Café-Theatre. These shows are aimed at children during the weekend. The Comic Theater is presented in all its dimensions and disciplines: comedy, street theater, mime, animation, stand-up comedy, musical, new circus, puppet show, café-theater and clown. The Festival brings about 25/30 national and international companies to the city of Maia, presenting for an audience of more than 10 thousand people. Considering the variety of its contents, this is a unique festival in Portugal dedicated to comic theater.
