Ethnographic Museum of Vilarinho da Furna

Terras de Bouro
Description
Following the extinction of the village, the Ethnographic Museum of Vilarinho da Furna was built, which recreates the village that was submerged under the waters of the reservoir of Vilarinho da Furna, on the Rio Homem, in 1971. Its doors have been open since 1981, and is a living record of what used to be Vilarinho da Furna. The Museum was built whit the original objects and rocks taken from the village. It is another way of getting to know the village that, in dry weather when the river waters recede, appears on the right bank of the dam. (Open every days except Mondays)
