In the hillside of the mountain where the Castle of Lindoso is located, we can find a set of sixty granite silos from the XVIII and XIX centuries, situated between outcrops and large stone pavements that serve not only as a foundation, but also as a threshing-floor. In this place the silo is entirely in granite with vertical cracks, being placed over simple legs, with or without bracket, topped by milestones or tables of different shapes, forming one of the most remarkable rural heritages of the Minho mountains. Besides Soajo, it is here in Lindoso that we can find the greatest representation of granite silos, not only by its number but also by its quality. Concentrated around a single rectangular threshing-floor, they reveal the importance of the collective work in rural communities.
