This Natural Park streches for 120 km of the grand canyon created by the Douro International. Here, the birds like the griffon, egyptian vulture and the black stork nesting. The principal mammal is the wolf. The flora has several endemic species such as the juniper . The regional cultural highlights are “pauliteiros” (dance) and “mirandês”, classified as an official language of Portugal.
