The Cross of Fontes is a large monument (granite) on a base of six steps, and protected on iron porch and its railing. The cross is also a monolith in granite, on which stands the Crucified Christ and the Mother at the foot embraced her. The shaft is pentagonal (faceted) containing four-party scenes and vertically carved, of each face, from top to bottom. Scenes from the Passion or the life of Jesus and in this sculptural piece, there are, in all, twenty. The plinth also has carved on each side (four) other scenes.
