Standing at about 500 m high, the Crasto de Cristelo (old Cristelo castle) takes up a vast area of calc-alkaline, porphyritic, coarse grain granite. According to the archaeologist Maria de Fátima Matos da Silva, this settlement is rich in remains of constructions, "possibly houses" and granite stone. For this researcher, “the settlement must have had two walls: one around the acropolis and another roughly in the middle of the slope".
