Coura River

The river Coura is born in the mountains of Paredes de Coura and joins the waters of the Minho River, in Caminha.  50 kilometers long, its path is wide and very interesting. The vegetation is lush and varied, the trees are intense on both sides, there are fresh shadows and birds. With a crawl, several dams and water mills, the river Coura is not only source of power and wealth, but also a place that provides good moments of pleasure. Especially in summer, the water mills of Vilar de Mouros testify the satisfaction of many people who dispenses sea beaches and go there to refresh and extend to the sun. The crystal clear waters of the river invite to the bath.
The river Coura is still used by generations of national and international champions in rowing, for training or test matches.
