NATIONAL MONUMENT
With a chronology of known occupation from the fourth century BC to the fourth century AD (based on a ceramic analysis), the City of Bagunte has been known, from very early on, as an ancient town. Already in the eighteenth century, Jerónimo Contador de Argot, citing the book of Counties, states the existence of the ruins of an ancient city on the city’s hill. This is an enormous town, with over 50 hectares of an area of interest. This town is the subject of a cultural dynamism draft - the archaeological field of Bagunte.
