The site dedicated to Saint Mark is a tense interplay of architecture styles. Freed from the decadent rococo influence, it has traces of a late Baroque structure. On the other hand, it has excellent classical motifs in the façade. The architect Carlos Amarante is responsible for the 18t century site.
