Temple designed by Eng. Guilherme de Almeida Fernando, built between 1952 and 1962.
It is a large contemporary church, following a stylized neo-Gothic taste.
It has a longitudinal plan with a large single nave. The interior decoration is discreet, using characteristic materials from the twentieth century, such as reinforced cement, polished marble, glass and metals.
The images, naturalistic, illustrate the main devotions of the people of the parish.
