“Centro de Recria do Burro de Miranda da Associação para o Estudo e Proteção do Gado Asinino” (Association for the Study and Protection of the Ansini livestock). The Headquarters of the AEPGA is located in the village of Atenor, where you can buy and spondor the local donkeys, become a member of the Association, by helping to prevent the extinction of this unique animal and the history and culture associated with it. You can watch films and documentaries during the activities promoted by the AEPGA, visit the small shop and buy the merchandise (i.g. puzzles, t-shirts, teddy donkeys, etc), helping this way to the future projects of the Association. You can also organise visits to different centres, participate in individual donkey rides or in group. You can also take part in the therapeutic sessions with the animals (“asinoterapia/asinomediação”) that allow cognitive, physical, motor and emotional stimulation.
