The Centre for Living Science is installed in the building of the former Civil Prison. This building has the geometric configuration of a dodecagon and contains an interior courtyard topped with a glass skylight. The old prison ceased to function in the 70s. In March 2002, it opened its doors again, this time as the Centre for Living Science. It is principally addressed to school communities, researchers, and in addition the general public.
