The Penas Roias Castle is a military structure built in the second half of the twelfth century by royal order, which, through D. Fernando Mendes, was donated to the Templar Order. From this place we can admire the Serra da Castanheira, Castle of Algoso among other wonderful places of natural and historical landscape.
