Casa Grande Gogim was the residence of the Counts of Vila Flor and Alpedrinha. Noble residence, is the only solar existing in the city.
The property suffered in 1713 a reconstruction work to receive the wedding of Miguel Teixeira de Carvalho (1669 to 1756) with Maria Engracia de Albuquerque. This event marked the memory of the inhabitants of Gogim and all County people by party size with large number of guests, and the abundance of silks and damasks and the luxury of the coaches which were seen there.
It is currently the property of the successors of the last Count: D. Francisco Maria Martinho de Almeida Manuel de Vilhena.
