Casa do Outeiro

Paredes de Coura
Description
From the 18th century, this solar is framed in a rural area. The agricultural function of this solar should be the predominant activity, given the extension of the two existing granaries. Esteves da Fonseca Martins was one of the first owners of Casa do Outeiro, in Agualonga, who first built it in the 18th century. Later, it was owned by the Antas family, from Rubiães, as part of the dowry of D. Francisca Rosa Pereira Antas who married Francisco de Antas Bacelar e Barbosa, offered by her uncle, father Manuel Martins da Fonseca, Abbot of Mei, in Arcos de Valdevez, the heir of Bráz de Antas da Gama, Lord of the Casa do Outeiro, in Agualonga, and brother of D. Francisca Rosa Pereira Antas.
