This area includes a series of sub-vertically quartzite outcrops located at southeast of Cabanas Longas (Alvarenga). This outcrops are the result of the deposition in a shallow marine environment, preserving several evidences of the living beings activity (ichnofossils), such as the traces of Cruziana resulting from the activity of arthropods. In the area identified as Ichnofossils of Cabanas Longas, there are great stratification surfaces that exhibit a great amount and diversity of ichnofossils, such as the evidences of Cruziana ispp., truly singular and worth noting. There is a high concentration of Cruziana imbricata, Cruziana rugosa and Cruziana furcifera. It is also possible to observe two generations of evidences marked essentially by traces of C. furcifera and C. rugosa and a posterior one which intersects in an angle of 110° with several marks of C. rugosa of great dimension. On these surfaces, it is also important to highlight the presence of very large C. rugosa , one with 21 cm and another with 23 cm and one with more than one meter.
