The Botanical Garden of the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, consists of one of the most important living collections of Portugal.
Currently registers around 1000 species, as part of a varied architectural-landscape set within the University campus (Quinta de Prados and Quinta de Nossa Senhora de Lurdes).
The project of this garden, designed by Professor Luis Torres de Castro, supported by the idea of integrating the visitor within the environment, along approximately 80 Ha of occupied surface.
