The Biological Park is located in Serra das Meadas, approximately 7km from the centre of Lamego. The Biological Park is an Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Education Centre installed by the Lamego City Council in waste land donated by the Almacave and Avões Parish Councils under a protocol. The animal species in the Biological Park of Serra das Meadas relate to the native species of fauna, some of which are in captivity, while others live freely and come to this covered area in order to nest.
