Dam of Sezelhe / Dam of Alto Cávado
The River Cávado grown in Serra do Larouco, near Montalegre is dammed near the village of Sezelhe and EN308 (Venda Nova-Montalegre), forming a small lagoon between forested shores. The most curious is that the dam was built in the years of 50’s to supply the lagoon of Alto Rabagão, located to the South. An underground line of 5 km that provides the main river (the Cávado) and its tributary (the Rabagão) exchange papers here.
