Casa do Artista – Pintor Jaime Isidoro (Artist`s House – Painter Jaime Isidoro)
Jaime Isidoro was a mythical buildings builder and a convenor of synergies in the Arts. He was the first portuguese man who believed in the artists beyond its temporal representation providing them the conditions for transforming themselves from visionaries into “architects” of a new way of communication that surpasses the spectator simple vision.
He promoted the idea of existing a residence in Vila Nova de Cerveira, so that the artists could make research and works that approached the population with the idea of communication through the Art and, consequently, its social, cultural and economic development. Thus was born the Casa do Artista (Artist`s House) where more than 200 artists have created the majority of the works that today integrate the Museu da Fundação Bienal de Arte de Cerveira (Foundation Bienal de Arte de Cerveira Museum). Everyone owes him his vision and entrepreneurship.
