As the school building Conde Ferreira was in an advanced state of deterioration, and because the students had to move to a more suitable and functional facility, the building was rebuilt to house the Aquilino Ribeiro Library. It is now part of the modern construction of the new library and is a reference for the local population because it is the place where various generations attended basic/primary school, where 4th grade exams took place for all the municipality’s children. It has remained in the memory of many generations.
