It is a circular pedestrian route that starts and finishes in Azenha place, just before the way to Couce, on the left side. It is considered of moderate difficulty due to the slope of some ascents / descents. It has an approximately 2000 meters length and it can be completed in 30 minutes without stops. In the Queiva area it is possible to observe the Fragas do Castelo and the river Ferreira. From a geological point of view, "this route runs exclusively in ordovician age lands. At the beginning of the path it is possible to observe the stone schists (commonly known as slate), characterized by its black color and its very fine and homogenous grain size. In the highest part of the route more quartzite material appears. It is in these alternations that the minning works can be found”. Centro de Geologia da UP text.
