Our region has many rural and traditional villages, where the comfortable and pleasant guest houses invite the tourists for an active long week-end or a very relaxant holidays. A string of villages are dotted along the Cabreira Mountain, all with their own unique character and hidden treasures. Exploring them, you will discover some of the quirks and characters of the mountainous villages.
Agra, Campos, Lamalonga, Louredo and Espindo have been considered ones of the most typical villages of Portugal, with their splendid views over the Hills of Cabreira. These villages are surrounded by fields and forests, they have excellent conditions for those who seek open spaces and wish to interact with the most pure natural scenery that rural life can offer. These villages were subject to various interventions wich permitted the restoration of many granite built houses which in turn provided more acomodation establishments for rural tourism.
