The Abel Botelho Museum opened on 23 September 2013, date it is paid tribute to the writer and diplomat tabuacense, which gives its name to this museum. Situated in the historical centre of Tabuaço, this three-storey building was restored, preserving the original façade, to honour the reputed Tabuaço-born writer and diplomat, Abel Botelho.
The museum has three exhibition rooms and offers a programme of temporary exhibitions. It reopened to the public on 23 September 2014 with an exhibition on the local amateur theatre company, “Teatraço”.
