HISTORY AND ETHNOGRAPHIC PUBLIC MUSEUM

Póvoa de Varzim
Description
The arms coated building dates back to the second half of the 18th century. Known as the Carneiros manor-house, it has been subject to several changes in the structure and in detail all over the years.
The Museum, founded in 1937 by the Póvoa-born ethnographer António dos Santos Graça, is of great ethnographic interest and contains a vast collection that gives an insight into the unique Fishing Community of Póvoa.
