Description
The Centro Cultural Adriano Moreira was for centuries dedicated to educational purposes.Built in the year 1562 for Convent of Clear Nuns was delivered to the Jesuits where they founded a prestigious College. With the expulsion of the Order in 1759, there settled the Diocesan Seminary in 1766;From 1853 to 1968 the National Lyceum and from 1968 to 1995 the Preparatory School Augusto Moreno.
Recovered in 2004 by the Municipality of Bragança, here are installed: the Municipal Library; The Adriano Moreira Library; The Academy of Letters of Trás-os-Montes; The Conservatory of Music; Exhibition Rooms and memory space of the City.
