MUNICIPAL SERVICES WITH CONDITIONED OPERATION
In view of the exceptional situation and alert regarding infection by the new Covid-19, following the set of measures decreed by the Portuguese government, namely the closing of schools, the restrictions on the circulation and enjoyment of public spaces, the limitation of sports activities, cultural and social, among others, the Municipality of Marco de Canaveses, informs that:
- From Monday, March 16, the municipal services will be established within the framework of minimum and indispensable services for the continuation of public service, guarantee of basic services such as water supply and sanitation, municipal cemetery, equipment maintenance, interventions indispensable on public roads and all necessary for the activity of civil protection and support to vulnerable publics;
- The attendance in person both in the City Hall and in the Technical Services is maintained, through scrupulous compliance with the rules of hygiene and safety;
- The non-face-to-face service channels of the Municipality, telephone and email, will be strengthened, which calls for this to be the first form of contact with the Municipality;
- According to what is established between the Municipality and the Parish Councils, the Citizen Spaces and Parish Council headquarters will maintain the minimum services to support the population. Go to these public services in case of urgent need and only the person concerned, with family members and / or companions staying at home, avoiding unnecessary outings;
- Municipal employees will continue their activities in teleworking, in social isolation, remaining permanently available to return to their functions whenever necessary;
This decision, as an exception, in line with other similar initiatives adopted by public entities, companies and commercial establishments, is aimed at ensuring that the largest number of citizens avoid or contribute to contagion by Covid-19.
The Municipality appreciates the understanding of these temporary changes, as well as the effort and responsibility that all Marcuenses have shown in this exceptional moment.
