Religious celebration of Holy Week. The Endoenças Procession has been going on for over 300 years, connecting the two banks of the Tâmega River, at the confluence with the Douro River, between Torrão (Marco de Canaveses) and Entre-os-Rios (Penafiel), on a route that includes the Duarte Pacheco Bridge. Before the inauguration of this infrastructure, in 1941, the procession crossed the Tâmega in rabelo boats illuminated with lanterns, followed by the sermon of Endoenças and the route of the Way of the Cross to Calvário, in the Chapel of S. Sebastião.
Processions program: Thursday: 8:30 pm Mass of the Lord's Supper in the Parish Church of Torrão; 9:30 pm Procession of Senhor dos Passos from the Parish Church of Torrão to Entre-os-Rios; Friday: 3:00 pm Procession (Burial of the Lord) from the Chapel of S. Sebastião to the Parish Church of Torrão and Celebration of the Passion of the Lord with celebration of the Word.
