Events

The Alto Rabagão dam will host, from April 30 to May 3, the second event of the 2020 National Championship of Carp Fishing, a event organized by the Portuguese Federation of Sport Fishing with the support of the Municipality of Montalegre. On those days, and for 72 hours straight, several teams (composed of two fishermen) will try to fish as many carp as possible and the pair with the most kilograms caught in total will be declared the winner. This event will be decisive to determine the winning pair of the national championship since the dam normally provides fishing for many good sized fish. From the final classification of the championship will also come the 3 pairs that will represent Portugal in the World of Carp Fishing of 2020 (event that is intended to bring - soon - to Alto Rabagão).
